New User Help

To add pages to this site:

1. Log in and click the Administration menu item. Click the 'Menus' sub-menu, then click the menu you wish add a page to.
2. On the menu administration page, look for the 'Add New Page' section. Type the title(s) for the new page here. Enter the English title in the 'English' box and the Welsh title in the 'Cymraeg' box.  Click 'Add'. You can change the title(s) later if necessary.
3. The new page will appear on the menu. Click the menu item to edit the page.
4. Enter the text / upload pictures, etc., and click 'Save These Changes' to commit the new page.
5. To enter bilingual text on a page, go to that page and switch languages to edit in the other language.

It is best to make small editing changes or additions at a time, and save them, in case there is a problem submitting the data. Large amounts of text can be imported directly from a text editor, such as Notepad. When importing from a Word document, all original formatting will be retained, including text colours, fonts etc., but pictures will need to be uploaded separately.

It is also advisable to make a backup of your page. Do this as follows:

To Backup your text

• Click the 'Source' button on the text editor,
• Select all the text and press CTRL C to copy the text to the clipboard.
• Start Notepad (or any text editor) and paste the text in.

To restore your text:

• Copy the text to the clipboard
• In the editor window, always click the 'Source' button
• Delete anything there and press CTRL V  to paste all the text in.

You can hide or remove this page from the Menu Administration screen.
