The new choral competition for Choirs, held for the first time in 2010 was a huge success, with prizes of £3,000, £2,000, £1,000 and £100 to all other choir competing. The winners were Côr CF1 from Cardiff, with the Ysgol Gerdd Ceredigion Boys second and Canna Ladies' Choir from Cardiff third.
The Eisteddfod on the Friday will commence at 4.00, Saturday at 12.00 and Monday May Bank Holiday at 2.00 pm. Talwrn y Beirdd will be taking place at the Pavilion Bar on the Sunday at 7.30.
